Today, we’re proud to announce the launch of a very special feature. It’s something our company has been hard at work making for a while — and it’s finally ready to be introduced into the world. Without further ado — meet SentiCharts!
SentiCharts is a daily summary of the hottest brands being discussed on social media. Every morning, you’re going to be greeted with a fresh list of the top 100 most influential brands in the online world.
SentiCharts — a new approach to social listening
“SentiCharts will be the Billboard 100 for social media” was the elevator pitch that started the project several months ago. And that’s what SentiCharts is, really — it’s a list of the top 100 most talked about brands on social media within the last 24 hours. Every day, we’re going through millions of mentions about over 500 brands to figure out which brands got the most attention.
In a way, Charts is a continuation of our earlier Social Index reports, which we released on a yearly basis. Those reports ranked the top 10 brands across different categories using our proprietary Social Index calculation.
SentiCharts takes that idea and heavily expands its scope. Instead of an annual report, Charts refresh themselves every 24 hours. Brands are sorted into different categories based on their line of business — we’re calling them Playlists — as well as the primary Top 100 list.
Unlike a static report, the list is fully interactive. Every brand on the list can be examined, with additional data and graphs available at the click of a button. Give it a try — our team poured a lot of love (and hard work!) into making Charts the best product it can be.
SentiCharts — the best of SentiOne Listen
Charts is intended to be the showcase for its bigger brother: our dedicated social listening solution, SentiOne Listen. In fact, Charts makes use of the same technology as Listen — including our world-class sentiment analysis algorithm and the same database of over a billion sources.

The SentiOne Social Index algorithm, supercharged
We mentioned the Social Index algorithm earlier, and it warrants further explanation.
The Social Index calculation is our proprietary way of evaluating a brand’s social media presence. It takes into account several values, such as the number of mentions, their emotional sentiment, the ratio between them, engagement metrics et cetera. This allows us to create a more accurate image of social media than if we were simply relying on individual data points.
The future of SentiCharts
SentiCharts is an experiment — but it’s an experiment we plan on taking far. Starting next year, we’re going to significantly expand its capabilities in order to make it the de facto standard reference for marketers, brand managers and other industry professionals.
2023 will be a big year for both Charts and SentiOne as a whole. We hope to see you on the journey with us!
